Abstract

One-pot synthesis in organic chemistry is deeply rooted in people's minds due to its huge improvement in efficiency compared with conventional stepwise synthesis. Nowadays, such a concept has also been shifted to polymer chemistry by one-pot introducing compatible or orthogonal organic reactions with polymerizations for facilely synthesizing or modifying polymers. This review systematically summarizes recent developments in the one-pot combination of enzymatic reactions with controlled radical polymerization to prepare functional polymers.
