Abstract

Polyaniline core–shell nancomposites have been successfully prepared via new facile synthesis type route. Aniline monomer has been polymerized in presence of Ag+, Ag+/Co2+ and Ag+/Cu2+ ions as oxidants using high shearing effect homogenizer. The morphology and the structure of the prepared composites have been characterized via scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, gel permeation chromatography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermo gravimetric analysis. The optical as well as electrical properties of the prepared composites have been enhanced due to presence of Ag nanoparticles together with Cu and/or Co nanoparticles.
