Abstract

In this paper, two digital error correction and adaptation schemes are presented with measured results. The first one is a static gain error correction, that is adapted by collecting in the background of normal operation a few bins of amplitude histogram data around the major bit transitions. The other experiment implements both a static gain correction and a simple dynamic error correction into a normal 1.5-bit/stage pipeline ADC. Finally, a digital training circuit for real time experimenting of different error correction schemes is presented.
