Abstract

The present work tends to use a decision making tool at low cost in the manufacturing system (LOCOMAS). This simulation tool is developed for a common standard computer environment. It offers the possibility to monitor pieces production in different sizes and for different customers. Further, LOCOMAS provides the ability to predict the timeframe for the delivery of orders to the clients by optimizing the period of production and the organization of park machines. Through an incremental time programming, the tool simulates the production that helps to visualize its process at any moment as well as it predicts queues and bottlenecks (production congestion). This paper aims to explain the design of this computer-based tool which is then validated by an application on production line model and it presents the management reports of park machines. The results are satisfactory and the software is in the-way-to market phase.
