Abstract

Summary The details of the planning, design, and evaluation processes in the application of a new work flow called the Unconventional Reservoir Optimized Completion work flow are discussed. This seismic-to-stimulation work flow demonstrates how a dominant-well-centric process was migrated to a reservoir-centric process. A significant step change in fracture modelling has been applied using with unconventional fracture models that have the ability to model complex fractures by use of discrete fracture networks (DFNs).
