Abstract

We present new results from the OPAL collaboration on the multiplicity differences between quark and gluon jets. A new technique to identify gluon jets in an inclusive manner by all the particles observed in an event hemisphere opposite to a hemisphere containing a tagged quark and antiquark jet is described. This inclusive jet definition corresponds to that used in analytic QCD calculations, and is compared to calculations and Monte Carlo predictions.
