Abstract

ABSTRACT Despite the valuable scientific contributions of professional workers and amateur naturalists our knowledge of galls is still poorly known in Iran. In this study three species of the genus Eurytoma Illiger, viz Eurytoma collaris Walker, 1832, Eurytoma differta Zerova, 1977 and Eurytoma stepposa Zerova, 1980 reared from Stipa arabica Trin. & Rupr. (Poaceae) were reported for the first time for the fauna of Iran, collected from Kerman province in 2000. Diagnostic characters, short taxonomic comments and geographical distribution of these species are briefly mentioned.
