Abstract

ABSTRACT: Neobenedenia pacifica (Monogenoidea: Capsalidae) is redescribed from the skin and eye of the striped mullet Mugil cephalus and white mullet Mugil curema from localities off Florida and Mississippi. The capsalid is confirmed as a member of Neobenedenia, and its occurrences off Florida and Mississippi represent new distribution records for the species.
