Abstract

The paper includes data on the wood-boring species Rhagium inquisitor in the Republic of Moldova. The first mention of the species dated 1964 was from Ivancea. Later, in 2007 the species was collected from Pinus sylvestris in Chisinau. The last records dated 2022 on the territory of the Republic of Moldova are from three new other localities, namely Susleni-Cobaleni, Nisporeni, and Stejareni. CABI considers Rhagium inquisitor a dangerous pest. In the Republic of Moldova, the species was seldom found and only under the bark of dried coniferous trees, consuming and recycling deadwood.
