Abstract
A total of 23 specimens of Ardeola ralloides were collected from Al-mashab north of Basrah- and examined for helminth parasites. The loose fascia over the skin muscles of neck, esophagus, trachea, thorax and abdomen of Ardeola ralloides were found to be infected with Strigea: Tetracotyle, which is reported here for the first time in Iraq.
