Abstract
1. Organosilicon and organogermanium mercury derivatives may act as mercurating agents of carbonyl and half-sandwich complexes of transition metals. 2. The nature of the substituents at the mercury atom in the intermediates of these reactions as well as the reaction conditions determine the pathways for the further transformation of these species.
