New quality in the implementation of social services on the example of the social services centre in Mylenice

Abstract

The Act of 19 July 2019 on the provision of social services by the social services centre introduces an optional possibility to transform the existing structures of a social welfare centre into a social services centre, which, according to the legislator, is supposed to increase access to social services in a given local environment. The subject of the considerations presented in the article is to show the process of changes in the implementation of social services on the example of the Social Services Centre in Mylenice. The undertaken analysis concerns both the formal process of transforming a Municipal Social Welfare Centre into a Social Services Centre, as well as the own research showing the opinion of employees and management in the field of implemented changes. The newly established Social Services Centre in Mylenice appears as a space to provide a wide range of services in a new quality.
