Abstract
On July 10, 2014 in China's Great Hall of the People, the Harbin Electric Corporation and the General Electric Company launched an “Eco-Partnership” to cooperate on the design, manufacture, and demonstration of the world's best gas turbine combined cycle power plant (hereinafter “gas turbine”). The 9HA gas turbine will feature world-class, highly advanced technology, incorporating leading levels of efficiency along with a flexible operating profile and extremely low emissions of harmful pollutants. Once this product is commercialized, it has the potential to replace a large proportion of the current generation of power plants typically found in industrial plants in China coastal regions and the U.S.
