Abstract

Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) was once considered as a rare disease. With the increasing awareness of clinical diagnosis and the emerging of more new imaging techniques and treatments, more and more patients with CA have been diagnosed and treated. The disease is becoming a hot research topic in the field of heart disease. In this paper, the main types, clinical manifestations and auxiliary examination of CA will be described with focus on the latest progress in the imaging and biochemical diagnosis and updated diagnostic procedure, in order to make early diagnosis and treatment of suspected patients.
