Abstract
The new Zeiss Invertoscope M is a compact metallurgical microscope of the Le Chatelier type featuring the strain‐free Epiplan objectives for polarizing microscopy. According to Zeiss, it permits excellent Koehler illumination and observation in brightfield as well as nomarski differential interference contrast.The instrument is reportedly comfortable to use because the very rigid stage is located exactly at eye level and has low‐mounted controls.
