Abstract

Superconducting oxide related compounds in the PrSrCuO system under 1 atm of O 2 at 1080°C were investigated. Pr 2−xSr 1+xCu 2O 6− δ (x=0.15, 0.85 ≤ x ≤ 1.00), Pr 2−ySr yCuO 4− δ (y=0.4, 1.43), and Pr 8Sr 7Cu 2O x were prepared in the system of PrSrCuO at 1080°C under 1atm of O 2. The crystal structures of Pr 2−xSr 1+xCu 2O 6− δ were 2126-type (x=0.15) and superstructure ( a × 3 a × c) of 2126-type (0.85 ≤ x ≤ 1.00). Pr 1.6Sr 0.4CuO 4 had the T∗-type structure. The structure of Pr 0.57Sr 1.43CuO 4− δ was related to the K 2NiF 4-type (T-type) structure. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern of Pr 8Sr 7Cu 2O x was indexed with hexagonal lattice parameters of a=10.164 and c=3.623 A ̊ . Orthorhombic compounds of Pr 3.8Sr 3.2O x and PrSr 2O x were prepared in the Pr-Sr-O system. All of these compounds showed semiconducting behavier.
