Abstract

Abstract While preparing a detailed map of the Quaternary deposits within the natural reserve ‘Sveafallen’, one of the largest potholes in the area was discovered and cleaned. Pollen analyses of clay deposited in the pothole verify that the clay was deposited during the end of the Pre-boreal (PB) and early Boreal (BO 1). The pothole was consequently formed earlier and the erosion had no connection with the outlet of the Ancylus Lake.
