Abstract
Methods developed during recent years to improve the dyeing of cellulosic fibres with reactive dyes are reviewed. One of the most productive areas of research has been the modification of the fibres themselves by making them reactive. Methods of conferring reactivity on the fibres are described, which also offer the potential for producing cleaner dyehouse effluent.
