Abstract

Radiation damage is a difficult subject for theoretical investigation, because of the complexity of real materials and the definition of the radiation environment. This paper reviews some of the problems that are concerning modellers, and suggests that other problems have not yet been addressed. A new approach is suggested that might eventually lead to more a effective use of experimental data and more effective modelling of the RPV embrittlement.
