Abstract

We argue that the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) can be produced with extremely high energies E ≳ 1019eV in the Universe at the present epoch. Their most probable sources are decaying superheavy particles produced by topological defects or relic particles. We discuss the interactions of the ultrahigh energy LSP with matter and the possibility that the LSP is the primary responsible for the air shower at the highest energies.
