Abstract

Two new Neogene species of the cyclodorippid genus Tymolus from the US states of Washington and Oregon are described herein: Tymolus bottemilleri n. sp. from the lower to middle Miocene Astoria Formation of Washington and T. collinsi n. sp. from outcrops of Miocene strata along the southern Oregon coast between Blacklock Point and Flores Lake. Both differ from other extinct species known to date in the number of tubercles on the dorsal carapace surface.
