Abstract

Zavegepant (Zavzpret), a nasal spray, is approved to treat adults with acute migraine with or without aura. It should not be used as a preventative. The most common adverse effects of zavegepant are taste disorders, nausea, nasal discomfort, and vomiting. Hypersensitivity reactions are also possible.Patients should avoid coadministration with intranasal decongestants, as these can decrease zavegepant absorption.
