Abstract
In this paper, we present new methods for evaluating students' answerscripts using fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence, where the satisfaction levels given by the evaluator awarded to the questions of the students' answerscripts are represented by triangular fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence between zero and one. The arithmetic operations between the alpha -cuts of fuzzy numbers are used to evaluate the total mark of each student, where the value of a is between zero and one. The proposed methods can evaluate the answerscripts of students in a more flexible and more intelligent manner than the existing methods.
