Abstract

A new method is described for serum albumin and serum globulin determination. This method combines the spectrophotometric method with a Kalman filter for determination of serum sample. The concentration of serum albumin and globulin is simultaneously known as soon as the absorption spectrum of the serum sample is recorded and analyzed. The operation is simple and the only manipulation is to dilute the sample with buffer solution, thus the serum sample is not destroyed. The results of the determination, compared with the bromocresol green and biuret methods, are satisfactory.
