Abstract

Public Interest Law, as practised by several private consumer organizations and law firms, has come to play an important role in US consumer protection. The author analyses important cases brought to litigation and discusses their impact on the behavior of private firms and government agencies. There is reason to believe that by better funding as planned by Congress and Government these organizations will take an even more active and constructive part in consumer action.
