Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper addresses the design of static output feedback controller for linear discrete-time systems. New sufficient criteria are derived for designing and controllers. The corresponding design criteria are presented in the form of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). The development involves certain relaxations of the LMI variables through appropriate use of bounding inequalities leading to less conservative LMI design criteria. The proposed method is compared with existing ones through numerical examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the design method.
