Abstract

This paper is devoted to deal with input-to-state stability analysis of switched delay systems under arbitrary switching. A generalised method called a delay-mode-based common functional (DMBCF) method is used rather than the common Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (CLKF) method often adopted in the literature. With the help of the DMBCF method, new input-to-state stability conditions of linear switched delay systems under arbitrary switching are presented. Two numerical examples are provided to illustrate that the DMBCF method is effective.
