Abstract

Substituted indole-3-peptidyl esters were synthesized and were characterized. The compounds were studied for their effect on the monoamine oxidase activity both in vitro as well as in vivo and compared with known MAO inhibitors such as tranylcypromine. Approximate lethal dose (ALD 50) of the compounds was also determined.
