Phonetic assignment of Roman fonts is different in majority of the European languages. This paper also considers the unique assignment of Indian Spelling Phonemes to each of Roman fonts. Four instructional fonts have been used to identify (a) short and long vowel signs.(b) soft, hard and heavy consonants and(c) vowel signs and vowels.Adaptation of the proposed Indo-Roman script to telegraphy, printers, video-terminals have also been discussed in detail.
