Abstract

On 11 July 2006, 60 years after it was formed, the British Association of Plastic Surgeons changed its name to the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). Accompanied by an overhaul of the association's visual identity, BAPRAS expects the change to refresh its image, more accurately reflect the work of modern-day plastic surgeons and bring the association's name into line with its European counterparts.
