Abstract

In this paper a new grounded frequency-dependent negative resistance (FDNR) simulation circuit is presented. The proposed configuration is realized by using two voltage differencing current conveyors (VDCCs), one grounded resistance and two grounded capacitances. The proposed circuit simulates a grounded FDNR which has the facility of electronic control through bias currents of VDCCs and does not require any component matching constraint. The behavior of presented circuit under non-ideal conditions found satisfactory with low active and passive sensitivity values. The high frequency limitation of proposed FDNR has been evaluated considering the terminal parasitics of VDCCs. To verify the behavior of presented FDNR, a third order low-pass butter-worth filter has been realized. The performance of the proposed FDNR has been confirmed by SPICE simulations using CMOS VDCC.
