Abstract

• Enriching the chemical compositions of Schisandra chinensis stems and leaves. • Two new glycosides were isolated from S. chinensis . • All structures were characterized by extensive spectroscopic methods. Two new glycosides, vanillic acid 4- O - β - d -(6′- O -( Z )-2′'-methylbut-2′'-enoate)glucopyranoside ( 1 ), p -methoxycarvacrol-6- O - β - d -glucopyranoside ( 2 ), along with two known analogues ( 3 - 4 ), were isolated from the leaves and rattan stems of Schisandra chinensis . The structures of these isolates were determined by UV, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR spectral analyses.
