Abstract

In this chapter, the author describes the new global partnering production model (NGP-PM) for Japan's expanding overseas manufacturing strategy. Recently, leading companies aimed to succeed in localizing production as a global production strategy; the key to this is success in global production in order to get ahead in the worldwide quality competition. Specifically, to improve quality at leading manufacturers' overseas production bases from the perspective of global production, the new global partnering production model (NGP-PM)—the strategic development of the new global production model (NJ-PM) for Toyota's expanding overseas manufacturing—is established. In the enforcement stage, to development of New JIT strategy, strategic global deployment of created strategic productivity improvement model (SPIM) has proved especially the validity of these models.
