Abstract

A stopper-less steel-casting system (SCS) can be regarded as one of the subsystems of automated systems for the continuous casting of steel and as an important functional part of the systems used to cast steel into ingot molds from steel-pouring ladles. An SCS makes it possible to improve product quality, reduce accidents, and improve working conditions for personnel in the steel-casting section. These advantages are reinforced by the steel-pouring ladles at domestic metallurgical plants that are equipped with the new generation of slide gate systems.
