Abstract

The scaling behavior of a family of piecewise-linear standard-like maps is investigated. We find a line of period-two fixed points in the space of non-analytic functions for the renormalization operator for invariant circles with golden mean winding number. These fixed points influence analytic standard-like maps in that they make KAM tori reappear after they have disaapeared when the nonlinearity is increased.
