Abstract
In May, 2022, the UK Academy of Medical Sciences announced that it had elected 60 biomedical and health scientists to its fellowship. Among the new appointments were several specialists in child and adolescent health, including the paediatrician Russell Viner, who set up the UK's first adolescent medicine service.
