Abstract

In this paper, the experiment was based on the principle of producing sodium carbonate by the combined alkali method, simulating seawater to absorb carbon dioxide in the air, and producing an alkaline extract solution. The effect of the extract on the extraction rate of sodium alginate was studied and then characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and TGA. The viscosity and average molecular weight of sodium alginate were measured by viscometer.
