Abstract

Described is the physics behind an new exact Feynman diagram approach to the Kondo problem. The method corresponds to a certain self-consistent parquet approximation. Here relatively simple arguments are used to justify the diagram results. The calculation of the static susceptibility and specific heat is described. The cross-over ratio W′=( π e ) 1 2 and Wilson ratio R=2 are given exactly.
