Abstract

In gathering data concerning the Humboldt Current, the present investigator has discovered evidence not previously utilized, which indicates that Antarctic circumpolar water flows along the eastern shores of the Pacific as far north as the latitude of southern California, in what appears to be an uninterrupted movement from Antarctic regions. The first proof and statement of this direction of deep‐current flow we owe to Austin H. Clark, based upon his study of crinoid distribution.
