Abstract
The Argentinian EDS-SSCS joint chapter was founded a year ago to provide a place for members and specialists to share technical information, scientifi c activities, and SCCS- EDS society-related matters as the result of several years of steady expansion in the Argentinian microelectronics community as well as the growth of Argentinian member- ships in the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) and the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS). In its fi rst year the group has been led by Sergio Baron, president, Ariel Cedola, vice-president, and Marcelo Cappelletti, treasurer.
