Among the valuable papers presented a few months ago at the joint conference of The American Dietetic Association (ADA) and The Canadian Dietetic Association (CDA) was a report from the newly formed Committee on the Scientific Evaluation of Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI Committee) of the Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences ( (1) Allen L.
