Abstract

Various types of smart metering devices and systems have been developed for the remote electricity metering applications that can be applicable to AMR (Automatic Meter Reading), micro grid and smart grid. Those are usually utilized by end-users, and proliferating widely as relevant markets are expanded. However, neither their energy-efficiency nor user-convenience has been taken into account. In this paper, a smart metering device is presented; which provides energy efficient functions and easy accessibility for user-convenience.
