Abstract
New data on the host plants of larvae of 45 grassfly species of the subfamily Chloropinae (Diptera, Chloropidae) in the Middle Don Area (Tambov, Belgorod, and Voronezh provinces) are given. Host plants are recorded for the first time for 14 species (marked by an asterisk in the list). Lists of host plants are expanded for many species. Among the species examined, 22 are polyphagous, 4 are widely oligophagous, 9 are narrowly oligophagous, 2 are monophagous, and 7 species are provisionarily considered monophagous, as their host plants are recorded for the first time.
