Abstract
Five new Omotrachelus Kolbe, 1883 species are described and illustrated: Omotrachelus geiseri Borovec sp. nov. from Guinea and Mali, O. kaniai Borovec sp. nov. from Sierra Leone, O. longirostris Borovec sp. nov. from Cameroon, O. parallelus Borovec sp. nov. from Togo and Nigeria and O. thoracomimus Borovec sp. nov. from Democratic Republic of the Congo. A lectotype is designated for Omotrachelus angulatus Hustache, 1932. Omotrachelus bigranulatus (Hustache, 1931) is recorded from Cameroon for the first time, as well as O. puncticollis Faust, 1893 from Ivory Coast. The genus Omotrachelus is newly recorded from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Mali and Sierra Leone.
