Abstract

New data on alpha-particle emission probabilities in the decays of 233U, 238Pu, 244Cm, 242Cm, 243Am, and 241Am have been determined by using Au–Si surface barrier detectors and the multiplet alpha-spectra analysis program MULT. The sources were prepared by electrodeposition method, and the energy resolution (fwhm) amounted to 15–16 keV. The total uncertainties of the strongest line of each nuclide except 233U are about 0.1%. Our results are compared to those obtained by using magnetic spectrographs and semiconductor detectors.
