Abstract

Intensities of the overtone and combination bands of molecular vibrational INS spectroscopy have been used, for the first time, to constrain the normal coordinate refinement of a spectrum. This was performed on a new high resolution spectrum of NaHF2. TheLO-TO splittings suggested previously by optical work are now clearly observed.
