Abstract
The particular choice of the coefficient that scales the latest search direction to compute the new one is usually the focal point in conjugate gradient methods. In this paper, a quadratic model is utilized to produce new conjugacy coefficients for the conjugate gradient technique, which are then used to solve picture restoration issues. The algorithms show global convergence and have the required descent property. The results obtained from the numerical tests, demonstrate that the new conjugate gradient approaches outperform the traditional FR conjugate gradient method when employed in solving image restoration problems.
