Abstract

In this brief, three circuits for the measurement of small resistance changes are proposed. The circuits offer the advantages of reduced bridge complexity and produce an output signal that is twice that of a proposed current-mode bridge and four times that of the conventional Wheatstone bridge. Also, the circuits have no common mode input signal and can accommodate multiple sensors without additional circuitry. They employ different combinations of current conveyors and operational amplifiers and their operation has been verified by PSPICE simulation.
