Abstract
The reaction of [M(dmit)(P-P)] (P-P = dppm, dppe) (dmit = 1,3-dithiol-2-thione-4,5-dimercapto, dppe = bis-(diphenylphosphine)ethane, dppm = bis-(diphenylphosphine)methane) with gold, silver and copper salts provides trinuclear derivatives with the general formula [M'{M(dmit)(P-P)} 2 ] (M = Ni, Pd; M' = Cu, Ag, Au). The same type of reactions starting with [M(dmit) 2 ] n- (M = Ni, Au) gave conducting polymers with different stoichiometry depending on the metal and the reaction conditions.
