Abstract

The supposed nature of planets belonging to extra-solar systems is considered. Then technical problems of foreign systems planetary probes are briefly outlined. Next, several exploration strategies of these systems are proposed and methods of scientific investigation discussed in detail. Conclusions are drawn concerning the value of direct investigation of extra-solar planets.
